Bio

Pam (Inks) is a young talent in the works. A twenty one year old who's persuit to find her own identity has lead her into a world full of expression and freedom. Pamela was born in Ecuador and grew up in in New York City Queens since the age of four. She began making stencils in 2002 after being inspired by a famous stencil artist in Europe named Banksy. The street art culture that was evolving as well as the "punk" scene she encountered were some of her early influences.

Inks early stencils captured famous pop culture icons like, Deniro's character in the Taxi Driver, Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols, Latino icons like Che Guevara, and Chavo del Ocho. Inks dove into the misfit look and feeling of rebellion.

Inks has since then found her own technique for creating a multi layered stencil. One that contains a three tone on tone contrasting layer, which she sprays with cordinating colors, on various surfaces. Inks enjoys the hard work of cutting the acurate lines, and says the soar pain is well worth it when she completes each piece.

Pain and emotion continues to be Inks pleasurable process, as her stencils continue to evolve and create the graphic beauty of this art form.

Inks has appeared in books like: Stencil Pirates, and can be found on sites like stencilrevolution.com, and woostercollective.com. She is currently show casing her pieces in various gallery setttings, and the most public of all the street.
